Brooke Mueller has the support of her twin sons after being involved in the investigation into Matthew Perry’s ketamine-related death.
Charlie Sheen’s third ex-wife posed for a photo with Bob and Max, 15, as she celebrated her 47th birthday at the Beverly Hills, Calif., home of her mother, Moira Fiore, and stepfather, Jon Fiore, on Saturday.
“I’m very grateful to my children,” Mueller said at the event, according to the Daily Mail.
The harmonious image was taken just days after federal agents arrested and charged five people in connection with Perry’s death last October.
As Page Six previously reported, authorities received a search warrant at Mueller’s home and ended up seizing his computer and phone.
The “Possessed” actress was in rehab at the time to treat her drug addiction issues.
Authorities, however, questioned Mueller about her longtime friendship with the late “Friends” star — but she was never charged with any wrongdoing.
Instead, multiple agencies worked together and discovered that two doctors, Perry’s personal assistant, a so-called “ketamine queen” and an acquaintance had allegedly illegally given the drug to the “17 Again” actor.
“These defendants took advantage of Mr. Perry’s addiction problems to enrich themselves. They knew what they were doing was wrong. They knew what they were doing posed great danger to Mr. Perry, but they did it anyway,” U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada said at a news conference last week.
“Ultimately, these defendants were more interested in the profit they could make from Mr. Perry than in his well-being.”
Authorities revealed that Perry’s assistant, Kenneth “Kenny” Iwamasa, admitted to administering the final dose of ketamine that ultimately killed the sitcom star.
Iwamasa, 59, pleaded guilty Aug. 7 to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death and faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced in his federal case.
The search also uncovered text messages between now-arrested doctors Mark Chavez and Salvador Plasencia discussing how to scam Perry into paying more money for ketamine.
“I wonder how much this idiot will pay,” one message read, along with “Let’s go!” [sic] discover.”
The “Fools Rush In” star was found floating face down in his hot tub on October 28, 2023 and pronounced dead at the scene.
His autopsy report revealed that he died from the “acute effects of ketamine” and listed the cause of death as accidental.
The autopsy report also listed drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine, a synthetic opioid used to treat drug addiction, as other conditions that contributed to his death.
Perry was 54 years old.
